The time has finally come to share our Vintage Honey wedding inspiration shoot. We spent MONTHS organizing this and it is so rewarding to see it complete! This set was styled two ways: first with a romantic touch and again with eclectic details. Both included unique floral jewelry– keep your eyes peeled for fresh strawberry hoop earrings!
Have I mentioned that one of my dream jobs as a kid was wedding planner? Obviously I was pumped when some of the vendors in this shoot told me it was the most organized wedding inspiration shoot (or real wedding!) they have ever participated in (I always say I have a type-A business brain and type-B heart. You can rest assured that I will not brush off your wedding as ‘just another day’). Do I have a future side gig as a planner? We’ll see. Maybe after I open my custom wedding gown business.

It was such a dream to work with these wonderful wedding vendors. This post would not be complete if I didn’t go into more detail about their incredible talents!
Venue: The Gardens Wedding Center, Allenton, WI
Johan and his family team have put so much love and time into making The Gardens one of the most unique and photogenic venues in the area. The details were perfect for our vintage wedding inspiration. Every corner you turn has another perfect photo spot, and that’s in part to Johan’s background in photography. The main getting-ready area is perfectly lit for hair + makeup (I think there are 16 lighting options in the room!). The secondary getting-ready space was my personal favorite for photos, with gorgeous lighting and vintage touches. The Gardens has indoor and outdoor spaces for your ceremony and reception, so if you are like me and hate the idea of not having a rain plan, The Gardens has you covered. The indoor space, historically a church, is nothing short of stunning. Stained glass and spacious seating make it a perfect ceremony site even when the sun is shining.
Floral Design + Rentals: Bloom Lovely Farm, Germantown, WI
If you’re looking for eco conscious floral and event design unique to you, Bloom Lovely Farm is your go-to. They provide a meaningful experience that reflects the personality each couple and have been doing so for 10+ years! You won’t see the basic trends in their shining work. Bloom Lovely Farm goes beyond Pinterest to make your day as unique as it deserves to be. I can attest, this team can take your vision to the next level and fill in the gaps with even more creativity. You never know what you’re forgetting until someone with a passion for details gives you a hand! When planning, Laurel suggests you “think about YOUR story and how it can be told through your event through decor, food, music, and details.” It is your day, after all. Okay, Mandy is one of the coolest humans ever. Her upbeat personality will make you glad to have her on your wedding day team, and that’s not even to mention her incredible talent with hair. Mandy will stun you with her amazing balayage work and specialty styling. We have been obsessed with her braided looks since Gabby+Josh’s wedding last September! Since then, Mandy has become an active Instagrammer, posting tutorials almost daily that you’re sure to love. She loves giving her clients their dream hair!
Makeup: Megan Holstine, Hartford, WI
Megan has this incredible way of making a glamorous wedding day look seem so effortless and natural without sacrificing elegance. She’s a believer of enhancing the beauty you already have. I would pay her to do my makeup every day if I could! Your wedding day is a time where you should feel an extra boost of confidence, and Megan’s skills will absolutely provide that for you.
Dessert: Madame Macaron MKE, Milwaukee, WI

Gown: Love Lives Here Bridal, Milwaukee, WI
Writing a description on Love Lives Here Bridal is going to make me sentimental. As you may already know, I spent my first year of college as an apparel major with plans to open a custom bridal boutique upon graduation. My fear of failure in entrepreneurship convinced me to change to a “safer” major, but meeting the owner of a local design house makes me want to tell my 19-year-old self to toss the self doubt.
