Pop confetti at Strike Bridal Bar after finding the wedding dress of your dreams.
Before Strike Bridal Bar, shopping for wedding dresses in Milwaukee was almost a pain. There were a few great bridal shops, but if you consider yourself any bit of a nontraditional, alternative bride, you might have found yourself driving to Chicago to try on wedding dresses.
Then, Abby Janiszewski took action. Her mission? To open a bridal salon that serves the cool, modern couple – in a comfortable, inclusive atmosphere. The result? A stunning bridal shop that is LGBTQ+ and size inclusive, but filled with exclusive dress and accessory options that will make you a one-of-a-kind icon.
One-of-a-Kind Wedding Dresses
At Strike, you’ll exclusively find dresses that you haven’t seen anywhere else. The ballgown wedding dresses, A-line gowns, wedding shorties, white jumpsuits, and any other wedding dress you find won’t be available anywhere else in Wisconsin.
If you want to take your unique look one step further? Ask about customizations. Did you find your dream dress but you wish it had long sleeves? Are you trying to show off your favorite asset with a plunging back? Maybe you want to make a statement with a black or emerald green dress, or you want a dramatic train. The designers found at Strike can make almost anything happen – as long as it’s physically possible.
The Strike Bridal Bar Private Collection & Abby Lynn Bridal
On top of the exclusivity and customizations you’ll find throughout the entire shop, there’s two treats you’ll only find at Strike Bridal Bar: the Strike Private Collection, and Abby Lynn Bridal. Not only is Abby a badass business-owner, she’s also a designer. So whether you want to start from scratch on a completely custom gown, update an heirloom wedding dress, or shop from her ready-made collection, Abby Lynn Bridal is just one more way the Strike experience takes the cake.
Wedding Accessories at Strike Bridal Bar
No matter if you got your dress from Strike or somewhere else, the Strike Bridal Bar Accessory Vault is filled with pretty, sparkly things to add to your look. The biggest accessory trend of 2022? Wedding gloves! We’re obsessed, especially when you throw a pretty ring on top. Here are a few more accessories you can find in the Vault:
- Pearl veils
- Wedding capes
- Sparkly belts
- Unique necklaces
- Statement earrings
- Wedding gloves
- Hair clips and pins
What Is It Like Trying On Wedding Dresses?
At Strike, trying on wedding dresses is painless. The stylists are kind, helpful, and absolute not pushy: their goal is clearly to find you “the one,” no matter what. You can choose from a few different shopping experiences when you book your appointment, but there are a few things you should keep in mind:
- Four or less people with you is great (only bring people who will cheer you on)
- Do your hair and makeup, and wear any shoes / accessories you know you’ll be wearing on your wedding day to better visualize the look
- Nude, no-show undergarments are key
- When you say yes, you get to pop confetti and cheers with champagne!
Even More Size Inclusivity at Rare Bridal Bar

This year, Rare Bridal Bar will be opening in Milwaukee, becoming Wisconsin’s first and only exclusively plus size bridal shop. Every single person deserves to find the wedding wardrobe of their dreams, and be able to see what it actually looks like on them. Abby’s team is pushing the industry in the right direction.
