Do you remember in the early 00s when we were all obsessed with romcoms because we wanted to be the couple in the movies? We romanticized a picnic date in the park and a warm summer night under the stars in our Lizzie McGuire pajamas and purple braces. While we were dreaming of having a love so cute it felt like a Hollywood production, somewhere in the world, the person we’d eventually end up spending so much time with was out there just living life.
Tina and Brian aren’t the awkward middle schoolers wondering who’d they’d marry someday. They’re the couple in the movie. Tina is radiant and playful and has job that sounds like a dream and Brian is thoughtful and artistic and kept us laughing for an hour. Their energy is the kind you can never get tired of being around.
When we suggested this spot to Tina and Brian, Tina knew it would be perfect. This spot has been her special project at work. She has been a part of rehabilitating the prairie, bringing this place to its full potential of beauty. Not only was the location a dream, but Tina and Brian let us carry out a vision we’ve been dreaming of all summer. They let us play dress-up with them and they hiked off for an evening picnic date in the wildflowers – the ones Tina helped to grow.
As the love story goes, years ago, Tina invited herself along to something Brian had tickets for. She didn’t do it to hang out with him – she did it to go to the event. Now, they’ve got a place with a view and a cute lil’ fur family. As far as I know, Tina isn’t a ghost and Brian doesn’t have to remind her who she is every morning (name the romcoms!), so as it turns out, this is a pretty bad 2004 Hollywood love story. By all accounts, it’s better.
If you’ve got a dreamy idea for a session, we want to hear about it! Let’s make it a reality. So many bonus points if you bring something vintage, like the cute blanket and basket in this session (Plume‘s got ya set for wardrobe!).
