This is the place. On Sunday mornings, still under the sheets with coffee in hand and sleepy eyes, you laugh together and talk about life. You’ll get out of bed eventually – but for now, there’s no rush.
You work out your day’s plans before you give your mugs a quick rinse, throw on a pair of old jeans, and hold hands as you walk around your neighborhood streets. Out of all of the houses, yours is your favorite. It might not catch the eye of a passerby, without the traditionally grand elements of a 3-car garage and a big yard, but they don’t know the stories. They know nothing of the journey you’ve had together in your home or the memories you have left to craft in this very spot. They don’t know about the joy you felt when discovering stained glass windows hidden in the walls, or the attention to detail you’ve put into making this place feel like yours.
For the introspective, the wallflowers, the introverts – there is truly nothing quite like home.
Kate and Zach are rehabbing a 1912 Queen Anne Victorian home in Milwaukee – and, while the story above is a romanticized idea of the love we all have for our homes, Kate and Zach really did find stained glass windows hidden in their walls when removing old siding. Their home rehabilitation at @victorianmkeduplex is incredible to follow along with and even more breathtaking to see in person. You can get a glimpse of their home in the images from their session – between the cutest couples photos, you’ll spot some including their sweet daughters, too. The best part about in home sessions is capturing life’s truest moments.
Before we left this session, we were already dreaming of coming back.
